Democracy Is the Best System for Discontent Management
It may be time to resign ourselves to the impossibility of true and ultimate satisfaction. Sounds pretty awesome, right?
If you’re a normal person, this almost certainly will seem like an odd time to sing the praises of democracy, whether at home or abroad. Democracy finds itself in a paradoxical situation. As far as systems of government go, it manages to be both uncontested in theory and unusually unpopular in practice. We contend with the fact that there are no alternatives with a mixture of resignation and relief.
